LOOKING FORWARD TO
MARIAN DAYS 2024
Lm. Philip M. Thanh Cao, CRM - Ban Tổ Chức Ngày Thánh Mẫu
Dear Bishops, Priests, Deacons, Religious Brothers and Sisters, and all the Faithful, The 45th Marian Days Celebration is drawing near for the Vietnamese faithful everywhere, particularly in the United States. Parishes, communities, and associations have already begun planning for Marian Days 2024. The maternal love of Mary surely knows no seasonal or temporal bounds; yet, when her children eagerly and joyfully prepare for their pilgrimage, how can our Holy Mother not feel a profound joy? We rejoice and eagerly anticipate Marian Days; our Holy Mother again rejoices to shower countless graces upon those who wholeheartedly seek refuge with Her. Once again, Carthage, Missouri, becomes the epicenter for the love of our Holy Mother and her children! This year's theme for the Marian Days 2024 was chosen not only with ideas drawn from the Scriptures (cf. Acts 1:14; John 12:1), but also deeply ingrained in the liturgy and the very life and faith of the Church: MARY IS THE QUEEN. This theme seeks to evoke the faith in Blessed Mary, the Mother of Christ. Where Christ is King in manifestation, there Mary is Queen! Queen of Heaven, Queen of the World, Queen of Vietnam, Queen of all hearts earnestly desiring to serve in the footsteps of Christ the King. The emblem (logo) of this year's Marian Days 2024 is designed with artistic strokes forming an image of Mary cradling the Infant Jesus, above her head are two heavens, one larger in red, with a cross atop it, and within the red heaven is a smaller white heaven. The figure of Mary cradling the Infant Jesus forms the outline of the letter M in the phrase: "Mary Is the Queen." The significance of this year's emblem: The heavens above Mary's head consist of both red and white heavens. The red heaven symbolizes the heavenly realm of Christ the King of Love, with the cross above. The Book of Revelation speaks of a wondrous sign that appeared in the sky. A woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars (cf. Revelation 12:1). Mary is adorned with the glory surrounding the sun, which is Christ, the Sun of Justice that never sets. The glory that Mary wears is the glory of the Resurrection, when Our Lady was assumed body and soul into heaven by God. The white heaven within the red heaven represents the heavenly realm of the Queen, the Virgin Mother, the Immaculate Conception, without stain, without wrinkle. These two heavens always go hand in hand, for wherever Christ is King, there Mary is Queen. The image of Mary cradling the Infant Jesus forms the outline of the letter M in the phrase "Mary Is the Queen," indicating that Mary alone embodies an incomparable significance: Mother of Christ - Mother of those who believe in Christ. In many languages, the word for mother begins with the letter M, as in Latin, "mater," but only one M stands uniquely and supremely for Mary, Mother of God, Mother of Humanity, Mother, Queen! The Congregation of the Mother of the Redeemer has acquired additional land and a house to expand the organizing area to welcome pilgrims for the Marian Days 2024. We have two new conferences in English, hoping to bring sacred fruits to those attending the Marian Days 2024 who find it easier to listen and speak in English than Vietnamese. However, these new elements are nothing compared to the maternal love of Mary, evidenced by the 44 previous celebrations of the Marian Days 2024! Looking forward to the 45th Marian Days 2024 to be held in Carthage, Missouri, with the theme: "Mary Is the Queen," let us once again affirm our faith: Queen of Heaven, full of grace! Mother's love guides us every day. Amid life's storms, we may stray, But Mother's love, let us not betray! See you again in the upcoming Marian Days 2024. Rev. Philip M. Đỗ Thanh Cao, CRM Organizing Committee of the Marian Days 2024

PRAYER FOR VOCATIONS #31 - USCCB
Lord, through Baptism, you invite me to share the gift of my life in service to others. Be with me as I choose every day to show your presence in our world. Give me the courage and generosity to respond to your love, to your call. I pray especially for those who serve you as priests, brothers, sisters and deacons. Keep them close to you. Open the minds and hearts of many other men and women to be testimony to your gospel.
AMEN.
